The Hampton Wick United Charity has helped local residents for more than 300 years and continues to provide financial assistance for people living within the parishes of:

The Charity offers two benefits - 'in need' and educational. Both are explained on this page.

In Need Benefit

The 'In Need' Benefit is usually available for those in receipt of a state benefit and proof of this may be required.

As an example, the Charity has provided grants for the following:

Educational Benefit

The Educational Benefit can be granted to residents in need and residents' dependants who are under 25, and who have lived within the area of benefit (see map above) for a minimum of 12 months. The Educational benefit might be awarded for:

Applications are normally considered by the trustees three times a year, but in the case of an emergency, special arrangements are made to consider the request without delay.

The affairs of the Charity are always dealt with confidentially and in a sympathetic and compassionate way.
